Welcome to Primary Notes! We’re so glad to make music with your child. To ensure a smooth experience for all families, please take a moment to review the following studio policies.

Location & Class Format

Primary Notes is a mobile music and movement studio. Classes may take place at preschools, childcare centers, community spaces, or private homes depending on the setting. Please check your registration confirmation for location details and start times.

Class Options

Group class duration ranges from 30–45 minutes, depending on age and location.

Class lengths vary by program, with sessions running for 10, 13, or 15 weeks depending on the offering.

Scheduling & Registration

  • All students must be registered in advance.

  • Enrollment is confirmed upon payment.

  • For all classes, a minimum of five registered children is required for the class to run.

Payment & Fees

  • Tuition is due in full at the start of each session or term.

  • For ongoing classes, monthly or seasonal billing options may be available.

  • Fees include all materials and instrument use during class.

Missed Classes & Makeups

  • Missed group classes are non-refundable and cannot be made up unless a makeup class is specifically scheduled.

  • If Primary Notes must cancel a class (e.g. due to illness or emergency), a makeup class or credit will be offered.

Parent & Caregiver Participation

  • In classes for ages 0–3, caregiver participation is expected and essential to your child’s experience.

  • For mixed-age classes, we welcome and encourage caregivers to join in!

  • Preschool and school-based classes (ages 3+) are typically drop-off, unless otherwise noted.

Health & Safety

  • Please do not attend class if your child is unwell or has had a fever, vomiting, or contagious illness in the last 24 hours.

  • Shared instruments and materials are cleaned regularly.

  • We follow the policies of host venues regarding masks, distancing, and other precautions.

  • Refer a friend and you both receive $10 off your next class!*

    Here’s how it works:
    When a new family signs up for a class, both the referring parent and the new registrant will receive $10 off their next class—just make sure both families mention the referral at the time of registration.
