Music Makers is a fun first-year music class for children ages 4–6, designed to gently prepare young learners for future piano study. Drawing from both the Musikgarten and First Steps curricula, this class invites children to explore music through singing, creative and guided movement, and playful instrumental experiences. Along the way, they develop tuneful voices, expressive movement, and confident musicianship.
Each class nurtures essential skills—pitch matching, steady beat, ensemble awareness, and early notation. Children gradually shift from learning purely by ear to visually recognizing musical patterns, strengthening memory, focus, symbolic thinking, and self-expression.
Through engaging games and movement activities, students build their voices as their first instrument and establish a solid foundation for music-making and later piano success.
At the end of each class, your child’s teacher will walk them to the music room. Please plan to pick up from the music room.
Start Date: 1/15
End Date: 3/19
Time: 1:10-2:00
Classes run for 10 weeks and a minimum of 5 children must be registered for the class to run. Tuition is due by the start of class.
